Plastics are increasingly used in building and construction applications to make our buildings more sustainable, from window frames and durable pipes to state-of-the-art insulation solutions.
Our mission
An essential pillar of our cause is the ambition for greater fire safety across the construction industry. It is a key driver of our product design and manufacturing: improving the fire safety of buildings is a joint responsibility of the whole value chain involved in building and construction.
That’s why, we provide a platform for our members and national level partners to exchange information and best practices around the importance of adopting a holistic, data-driven and performance-based approach to fire safety across the European construction sector.
Our members
The Modern Building Alliance relies on an Executive Board to define its priorities and the strategic orientation, and on the Technical Working Group to look at fire safety, buildings regulations and technical aspects.
The Modern Building Alliance is based in Brussels.
Products and materials
Our products cover a wide range of materials with unique properties and specific applications.
Our members are particularly active in the field of thermal insulation with Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Extruded Polystyrene (XPS), polyurethanes (PUR/PIR) and phenolics (PF).
