The Modern Building Alliance appoints a new lead

The Board of Directors of the Modern Building Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Jarita Diana Christie as the General Manager of the Alliance effective on 21 June 2022. She succeeds Perrine Ethuin who joins BASF.

‘Jarita brings with her extensive experiences in government and public affairs, at both EU and National levels, we welcome her knowledge of various EU policies and market sectors.  Jarita will continue enhancing MBA’s engagement on fire safety in our industry with stakeholders, supporting the EU to advance on safe and sustainable construction.  The members of MBA, join me to wish her great success in this appointment.’

Jarita added:

'I am excited to lead the Modern Building Alliance to further enhance greater fire safety across the construction industry, through engaging with policy makers and stakeholders.  Building on Perrine’s efforts, along with the MBA team, membership and ecosystem, we will continue to cooperate with the building and construction value chain, to positively contribute to design and manufacturing, improving fire safety in buildings.

The Board on behalf of the Modern Building Alliance members thank Perrine for her achievements over the last three years and warmly welcomes Jarita as the new General Manager.

Bio:  Ms Jarita Diana Christie

Jarita is a global executive with over 15 years experience in corporate, government, public affairs and communications. Her policy expertise is on sustainability and trade, at multi-Regional, Regional and National levels. Jarita has led diverse teams of professionals on successful policy campaigns and projects on resource efficiency/circular economy, energy efficiency and market access.  Her breadth of experience is from working in the regions of Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe, in the sectors of buildings and construction, digital, commodities, technologies, standards and aviation.  Jarita has strategically led and represented industry organisations and corporates, facilitating their continued dialogue with policy makers.

Jarita also sits on the Board of ‘The EPE’, a think tank, to contribute her expertise in fostering a new generation of partnerships for Europe to prosper. She holds Masters degrees in engineering (aeronautical and environmental) from the University of Sydney and University of New South Wales and Masters degree in political science from the University of London.
